The tragedy occurred Sunday, January 8, after an unidentified woman fell off her husband’s motorcycle while Axis Fajol was driving to a church in the Obantoko district of Abeokuta, Ogun State.
The accident reportedly occurred when the husband was trying to avoid a head-on collision with another motorcycle coming from the intersection.
He lost control and this led to the death of his wife.
TRACE spokesman Ogun Babatunde Akinbii confirmed the incident and explained that the motorcyclist was recklessly driving the car, losing control, and in the process hit the woman sitting behind her on the head. He fell to the ground and died on the spot.
