PDP, LP, ADC Call For Cancellation Of Presidential, NASS Elections

The main opposition parties, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), the Labor Party (LP) and the African Congress of Democracy (ADC), called for the cancellation of last Saturday’s presidential and parliamentary elections.

They also declared a no-confidence vote against the head of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmoud Yakub, urging him to resign and leave the 2023 elections to someone
else.

Speaking on behalf of the opposition at a joint press conference in Abuja on Tuesday, Labor National Party leader Julius Abre said the exercises were “irrevocably compromised”.
