Former Aston Villa player Gabriel Agbonlahor played against Arsenal by signing Chelsea striker Kai Havertz in the summer.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with Havertz in the transfer window this summer. The Germany international is reportedly keen to join the Gunners but Agbonlahor is keen to sideline Mikel Arteta and not sign Havertz, saying the player is frustrating to watch.
“With Havertz, it’s annoying to watch, isn’t it? Because you can tell there’s a player there,” the former England international told talkSPORT.
“Last season [he scored] seven goals in 35 games. And he must have something [Mauricio] Pochettino is thinking about. “I can get 50-60 million for it. I think the other person is a hospital.
He added, “I don’t understand from Arsenal’s point of view, Arsenal need a clinical striker, you know.” Gabriel Jesus missed a lot of chances last year, [Eddi] Nketiah too. I don’t think it suits Arsenal. There were Arsenal fans on social media last night who didn’t like it.
